really liked it
bookshelves: children-s-literature, fiction, dystopian

I found the first two books (The Hunger Games and Catching Fire) of this series reasonably intriguing and fairly well plotted, but the tightness of the first two books seemed to be missing to a degree in Mockingjay. The premise was great and there were some intriguing plot twists and turns, but I think there were just too many characters to keep track of and, therefore, to care about. My rating of 4 stars is based on the fact that the author stayed true to the world she had created in the previous two books and she did wrap things up in ways that seemed true to the characters' natures, but some of the complications seemed a little too complicated while other complications seemed to be taken care of in a slightly too pat way.
