Seth Wonderful characters and a wonderful story. Shogun masterfully blends two cultures into a pot. They don’t mix completely, but learn from each other in a third eye sort of way. I consider this book historical fiction. I actually feel much smarter after reading this book too. It has forced me to make connections between the past and today including politics, geography, and religion. This book has it all: Deceit, Adventure, and Love. I have learned a tremendous amount of Japanese culture from this book. It might be the biggest book I ever read, but it was worth every page. 1150 pages I think? Wakarimasu?!
