This riveting audiobook rendition with multiple narrators won numerous awards and totally earns 5 stars in my book! (It may have earned 4 1/2 stars if I had read the text rather than listened to the excellent performance that brought the story to life.)
This realistic story, which I won't give away, is truly original and defies subject categorization on ordinary bookshelves. Read it for yourself and you may decide to create special shelf for a "Mother-son bond" like no other. Only problem is this novel raises the bar so much that not many other books could reach this level. Totally realistic in every way. Imagine being locked in a room from which there is no escape and no free will is possible. The only escape that can take place is in one's own mind. Until...
Upon closure to this emotionally moving story, all I can say is "Wow!" Bravo Emma Donoghue!
