Read from July 19 to 24, 2011 — I own a copy, read count: 1

Exciting and intriguing, as almost every Elton book. The setting and story telling is very different from that of his others, at first I thought the story sounded boring, but I couldn't have been more wrong.
The topic is extremely interesting, the setting and its description gruesome, and the story very well thought out and very exciting. I couldn't stop reading even though I was supposed to be studying for an exam on the next day!
Only 4 stars, however, because firstly, some/most of the battle scenes the protagonist gets himself into are a bit ridiculous and his motives and actions not very well explained, so they seem highly improbable and unrealistic. Secondly, the ending was a bit too abrupt for my taste, and not very elegant, quite contrary to the rest of the book.
