The Alchemist is a simple story, telling the simple and most basic truths of life. It is a great philosophical book that teaches of destiny and following your life head on and most importantly not fearing uncertainty.

We've heard that this book, "it had poor plot development" or "it was too simple", yes, that's right, but the purpose of the book isn't to be some wordy novel using ten dollar words to "seem" intelligent. Instead it tells its story by breaking up the main characters journey into smaller stories that teach us about the simple truths in life.

Overall, it's a great story as I learned so much from it. The story makes you think of your morals and beliefs as a human towards yourself and towards others. Read it and enjoy it's simplicity, don't go in to it expecting intricate writing and plot development because it was never meant to be that.
