really liked it
bookshelves: darkish, movie, read-in-90s
Read in April, 1997

This was the first book I read in English (apart from "The Wave" and "Animal Farm", which I had to read for school). I read it as a preparation for my final English-exam, had the German copy as well and started with reading a page in English and then in German. Soon I gave up on reading parallel and only looked up words I didn't know - which were still a lot. One word I learned: 'body' is also used for a dead person.

It was not the first Grisham I read, and not the best one either, but still a very good book with an enthralling story. No wonder I buy every book this guy publishes.
