This was the only book I brought on my trip to Boston this week, thinking, it's lightweight and I would either read it out of necessity or I would find something more alluring in the airport bookstore (I love airport bookstores). I was in a rush and all they had in Austin was crappy John Grishom I'd read in high school. I managed to read Glamour magazine until last night when I was forced to start Bee Season, which annoyed me for no good reason or, to be honest, for purely superficial reasons. I hate that author picture on the back: she's so generically "alternative" and so "adorable." Black and white striped tights? Come on. Plus I just moved away from Brooklyn and am not that stoked on reading something set there, either. So I got 30 pages into it last night and the verdict It's okay, I guess. I'm still going to look for a better guilty pleasure today.
