So, I'm only a couple of hours into this one, which I have not read myself ... big deal for me as I trust very few with this distinction ... and the narration is absolutely awesome!

That should say ... I trust very few "narrators" with this distinction ... like maybe Anna Fields / Kate Fleming.
I really enjoyed their particular story more as well (although agree that they just don't nail the humor as well as Jacob and Bella). I think you pegged it - I like their maturity and how it played into their relationship. It will be interesting to hear what you think of Elijah...that book felt very different to me for some reason. Thanks so much for posting your thoughts, Brenda. Very glad you are continuing to enjoy them :)
Elijah has me worried ... I've started reading it and being a person that very much prefers dialogue driven stories I was pulling my hair out to get 20 percent into the book with only a dozen or two sentences having been spoken. But I will definitely be listening! I know it will make a difference overall ... and if I have to skip around to find the conversations, hearing those alone will be worth. :)
It does have a VERY long intro to the situation at the start...but that's about the last of the long bits without dialog. Once they start talking, the whole book seems full of dialog again (similar to the other books).
I knew the narrations were only going to get better, I'm waiting for Elijah and Damien my favorites in this series
Good to hear you're along for the full ride, Lupdilup! Damien was quite a bit of fun - really enjoyed that one. Starting on Noah now, and this book is darker and more difficult (content-wise) than I expected. I like being surprised when doing a series.
I finished this one today. There was so much of the book where very little happened! I agree with you about the sex scenes too - I timed one (I was driving) at longer than 35 minutes! I can't skim in audio and I think I must have done in print.
I am also amazed at how Xe can get her voice to that growly rasp - you wouldn't think it was a woman talking. It must be painful!
