Mini Review: One of the most delightful tween/YA books I have ever read. Mia is so adorable and real you just can't help but fall in love with her. I absolutely love the way Cabot writes her dialogue and it often reminds me of something that would come out of Whedon. (a true compliment). Mia is a true delight and she made me snort out loud with her outrageous comments and her truly kooky family. Cabot truly has a gift for writing loveable quirky characters. Loved all the Star Trek references which appealed to my inner nerd. If I was doing my usual full review I would have a hell of a time choosing only 3 of my favorite passages, as there were so many. Nice morals of being true to yourself, the importance of compassion and integrity without being all preachy and in your face - love you Cabot! This one is perfect for tweens, teens and adults who remember the awkwardness of being a teen. Just do yourself a favor and pick this one up.
