really liked it
bookshelves: adult, audio

This is another one of those books that i think the audio really gave it the extra star. The book took place in Ireland and the reader of course read with the accent making me feel even more connected to the cast of characters. I really enjoyed this book, it was character driven and although there were 15+ characters i didn't find myself losing track of who was who or what was what. The downfall to this was that only a few of the characters were well developed and had definite endings. I thought it was a solid and interesting story of how a small community came together to raise a newborn baby when her mother passed away and was left with her alcoholic father. I was drawn into the story and the events taking place and wish there would have been a stronger conclusion or another book,. This is a light but touching read that i could easily recommend.
