“Loved” starts out where “Turned” left off, on a hunt for a sword. Not just any sword, the sword that can end the Vampire war. This is a great little adventure story, that follows several characters: Caitlin/Caleb, Kyle, and Sam (Caitlin’s little brother) who are all on a similar path with different expectations. I liked that there was some history in this about the Salem Witch trial (with a few twists to fit in the world that was created) and other events and people. I think I enjoyed Turned a little more, but I did still enjoy reading Loved, I hope to find out more about the father character in future books, but I suppose I’ll have to read more to find out. Of course with all young adult/romance the girl and guy always seem to have instant connection but it still worked pretty well. Though “Loved” is a vampire story, the focal point was the journey and growing up than our vampire heroine, there are a few twists in here and I think that if you enjoyed ‘Turned’ you’ll also enjoy ‘Loved’. The big down side though, as in a lot of Indie or Self-Published works, were the typos and errors some of these can be confusing.
