So far this has been my favorite book in the series. I like that we get a glimpse of Roarke's past (even though it's not pretty). The murder mystery set up was done really well, and I liked that this one was the most personal case of Eve's (more so than Mavis in Immortal in Death) because it basically comes into her home.

We get to see Eve and Summerset square off a couple of times, and I like that Summerset might finally see Eve in a more favorable light by the end. He realizes that Eve is a good cop and does right by the dead she's defending.

I did figure out who the culprit was (although not until more than halfway through the book), but I did second guess myself a couple of times.

I have really enjoyed this series so far, I hope they continue to be good reads. Until Then!
