it was amazing

Loved this - skeptical that a sequel could have kept up the tension and dark beauty of the first, but it did. Finn is on the Outside with Claudia, hating that his oathbrother is still inside the Prison. They contend with the machinations of the queen, the politics of court, a pretender to the throne, and the wild card Steel Wolves faction while they try to reopen the prison Portal. Inside, Keiro and Attia face horrors and deception as they journey to find and keep Sapphique's glove. Both Inside and Outside are brilliantly, separately realized. The imagery and sheer imagination, especially with the scenes inside the prison, are amazing. Characters are solid and face human temptations and battle insecurities. Tense and amazing - I couldn't put it down.
