really liked it
bookshelves: series, fantasy, alternate-history, nook, 19th-century
Read from April 04 to 07, 2012 — I own a copy

Better than Tongues of Serpents, and there's quite a lot of action in this one as Laurence is restored to military rank, and he and Temeraire journey from Australia to South America, to prevent the French from allying themselves to the Inca. Given the ending, I am certain that there will be more books in the series to come. Four stars overall.

Jen I am waiting for my copy from the library!

Rebecca Huston I'll be interested in seeing what you think of this one. It'll be good to be able to talk with someone about this one.
