This book brought up many different bizarre and intense emotions for me and I found it an interesting narrative to follow. It is not necessarily the style of book I would usually be drawn to (or so I thought), but I became attached to the characters and involved in the story.

Yes, Simeon is whiny and immature, and yes, Doriskos is quite socially inept, but in some strange twisted way I don't really want to examine too much, I felt like parts of me could identify with both of these characters. I guess anyone who has ever been somewhat of an outsider could find some common ground with this story. And while the book does tend toward the dramatic, I quite enjoyed it! No regrets!
