A 3.5 rounded up to a 4-star

I've really been blank for reviews on previous books I've finished and
I'm not sure why. Maybe just the lack of confidence to write one. I've said this before, but I read other peoples' reviews and am blown away on what a wonderful job that most write up. But maybe it's just a matter of practicing, right? So, Eddie, lets not be lazy and take a crack at this one...

OK, this was my first trip down zombie(meatskins, as said in this book) lane and it was trip I'd probably do again with another author. It didn't cost me any money(checked it out from the library), and it took me to another place mentally--like any decent piece of literature should do, with it's top-notch writing, plot and setting. This book wasn't original in any way, but in my opinion, Alden Bell can write.

Ugh....zzzzz!

Eddie, this review is utterly boring so far....

I know what to do! Let's just sum it up really quick and do some 'research' on how to write a good review for the future! Yeah, great idea!

The Reapers are the Angels

A hardened, tough-as-nails, bad-ass(think the woman in the Terminator 2 movie, John Connor's mom) parent-less girl who doesn't truly know her age, but assumes to be around 15 or 16, who travels the scarred land of America in a post-apocalypse, where very few people remain alive and the land is now filled with zombies. She is looking for her place in this ruined country while also trying to find herself and at the same time doing whatever it takes to survive. Even if those choices haunt her soul and plague her mind with feelings of guilt and disgrace. You know, when it comes to this book, think The Road meets Zombieland, minus the humor in Zombieland. Wait, was Zombieland funny? Because I don't remember really laughing throughout it. Anyhow, you catch my drift.

::Barfing at my effort of a review. Or lack thereof.::

James Burns I know how you feel. I think exactly the same - I've written only one review and it's not nearly as good as the majority of reviews including yours.
For what it's worth, I think you did a pretty good job!

Eddie Ah, thank you, sir, for the nice comment. Greatly appreciated.
