This was a completely, totally fluffy mystery, but I really enjoyed it. Poor Anastasia! Her life is one of those where she thinks everything is pretty good, but when her husband of 18 years dies suddenly, she realizes that not all was as it seemed. And then it just gets worse! Sometimes I feel that way about my life, although I don't have a secretly-gambling husband or multiple murders to contend with, thank goodness! The sheer ridiculousness of her household (take a communist mother-in-law with a demon dog, add in the heroine's own mother - and her cat, two teen-aged boys, a hunk of a tenant, and a Shakespeare-quoting parrot) is more than enough for me to want to read the next installment.
