This was a good read. I'm worried about Rachel and what'll happen in the next book--Harrison quite effectively foreshadows a descent into darkness. I'm also enjoying the rivalry between Rachel and Trent. Her flaws are called out, too, which is a nice change from a rash and thoughtless character who everyone thinks is the bee's knees.

One thing I'm liking about this series is that Harrison's not afraid to write a longer book (though both so far have taken place over a timespan of less than a week if I'm counting correctly). I don't feel that I run out of book before I'm ready--there's a lot of plot to chew through, and not in the chewing the scenery kind of way!
