Heartbroken Holly retreats to her grandmother's cottage on Blue Crab Island, and is heartbroken a second time when her grandmother passes away. Holly inherits the cottage, and also the small cooking school that was more than a school--it was a place of healing, overseen by the amazing Camilla, the Love Goddess of the title. Can Holly ever hope to step into her shoes? She can't really cook, and she sure can't tell fortunes. This book has much promise, but the writing felt rather pedestrian and lacking in sparkle.
