I found this book disgustingly fascinating! While Amy Stewart's book covers a wealth of information on bugs she finds truly horrible, destructive, and pain inducing, she presents it in such accommodating writing style that keeps you engaged and wanting more. I only wish more of my college texts could have been written like this, informational but filled with storyies of first hand encounters with the bug she is profiling. Maybe I would have gotten a better grade in biology. I'm excited to read her precursor book, Wicked Plants as well. I'm hoping I won't suffer from the tendency to itch while I'm reading it as opposed to this book, where some of the subjects made me scratch in fear and paranoia. If you're feeling like you haven't invested any meaty information into your brain for awhile and you have a strong constitution, then read this book, if you dare.
