Fantastic. Once you get over the idea of an inpenetratable dome descending upon a town, entirely cutting it off from the rest of civilisation, then this is a story about people and how they react to extreme circumstances. It soon becomes apparent to the reader who the good guys are and which people are evil, but it takes a bit longer for many of the residents to realise who they can and can't trust. Despite the massive cast, the length of the book means we get to know the characters very well by the end. My one criticism is that the end, although satisfying, was far-fetched, but then I guess we fans of Stephen King kinda knew it would be!
