it was amazing

How can a book about losing everyone and being imprisoned during the Holocaust make someone feel good about her own life? I saw it happen to thousands as they read the book, watched the movie, talked to each other and listened to Gerda Klein. Person after person thanked her for helping them realize how much life had to offer them. She is an inspiring person and this book makes you realize how important the little things are in your life. The incident with her friend (who she was previously jealous of) bringing Gerda the single berry she had found on the ground and presenting it to her as a special treat will never leave my memory. Such an act of extreme generosity makes anything I do seem minute.
