A pretty classic cop/black ops guy endangers woman and/or woman's children/siblings/other important person. It also had the classic best friend's sister scenario. That said, it was well written enough to be readable and the endangered woman wasn't an idiot, which I appreciated. The guy was sometimes an idiot, but not distractingly so. All in all, a good read and a fair distraction.

My main complaint is actually the "man law" theme. I found the presentation of that part of the book somewhat obnoxious.
