Read from September 20 to 27, 2014

A well written tale centered around a young man who becomes a spy for the Russians in eastern Europe at the beginning of the second world war. I liked the way the author introduces new characters who at first have no bearing on the Nikko, the protagonist, but as the story progresses they meet up with him in some way. The author obviously did his homework as he has the cloak and dagger spy routines down pat. The only slight drawback here is the lack of emotion with and between characters. A little more pathos please, there is a war going on you know! Definitely worth reading if you're a fan of spy novels. A solid 4 stars.
