bookshelves: pre-raphaelite

Tricky one as it's not bad as a basic book on the Pre-Raphaelites and the quality of the illustrations is smashing, however there are a lot of mistakes and repeating of incorrect information, so if you are serious about your Pre-Raphaelite studies, I wouldn't recommend it. However, it's well written and engaging, and the author's enjoyment of the subject is obvious, however from the bibliography the depth of her research is not as great as it should be, especially in terms of modern research and interpretation. I also question the need for yet another book on the brotherhood when such good books exist on the subject adn there are other areas in Pre-Raphaelite art that need investigation.
