Thank God It's Monday!

This book is a gloss-over of concepts that have been covered much more effectively in other books. It offers no concrete evidence or metrics to prove the success of culture-building programs or the effects on a companies bottom line. (Although the book does try to vaguely describe large companies in such-and-such industry who realized a 2000% increase in profits just 5 minutes after their hoopla team met for the first time, and other such unfounded claims. Like many of these quick-read leadership books, the author attempts to interweave her theories with a story about "real people". But, the dialog between the one-dimensional characters is about as realistic and compelling as the side of a cereal box. The description of how one character at her steak, and the accompanying side dishes, was the most engaging and memorable part of the story.
