The story alone gets 5 stars. The Oakland A's story has to be one of the best in baseball. I just saw the movie as well and that made me love the book even more. This however, is not about the movie.

Unfortunately, at points in the book, I was a little bothered by the author's writing style because it seemed like he was just rambling on without punctuation. I had to go back and read quite a few sentences before I completely understood everything. Lewis knows how to tell the story very well though. Rambling was the only thing I found a little disappointing.

All that can be somewhat overshadowed by the story. It is a must read for any baseball fan. I've been a fan all my life, but it gave me more of an appreciation for the game and how major league teams are run. Great story, great book, and good author.
