At the opening of this historical story, you feel immensely sorry for a naive, 12-year old girl forced to marry at this age solely to produce a male heir to their line. She's barely big enough to carry a child let alone give
birth to one. By the end of the book, you think she's a real b____.

Veronica Knudson I hadn't planned on reading any of these books, but I found that I enjoyed the 2 or 3 that I've read, so plan on reading the rest. She really has a way of making the characters come to life!

Lynnette Which ones have you read as I think this was my first
one...? Lynnette
