really liked it
bookshelves: nonfiction

I liked this book quite a lot, but had similar questions as other reviewers had . I did wonder about the mention of workshops, but agree that it is there more to give him crede than as a promotion. But I think it will be something kids are going to find very interesting and inspiring, moreso than most books on artists. I do agree it would have been great to mention Magritte, but maybe some kids will actually want to go find out more about the Sir Reals (sic) via Google.

It also makes me think of the DK books Pick Me Up and Do Not Open in that this one is similarly tapping into youth interests --- popular and consumer culture.
