Despite the standard romance novel clichés, this is one of my favourite romance novels ever. It's just so funny! The heroine, Elizabeth, is endearingly and hilariously clumsy, and hurts both herself and others. The dialogue is entertaining, the interaction between Elizabeth and James is mostly very amusing, and the other characters (Aunt Agatha and Elizabeth's siblings) are brilliant, especially Aunt Agatha. I'd gladly read more books about her, never mind the others! The novel becomes less interesting towards the end unfortunately, when it becomes more about finishing off the standard romance novel plot and less about the funny bits that makes this novel stand out. It's still definitely worth a read though!
