it was amazing
bookshelves: kids
Read in June, 2007

This is my favorite book because it is so packed full of action that there is literally never a dull moment. From the Quidditch World Cup to the Tri-Wizard Tournament, everything moves along so fast that you get through this 700 page book in a flash. The introduction of the Death Eaters at the World Cup and then the Dark Mark really set up the return of Voldemort perfectly. The first chapter is great, learning more about the Riddles and who they are. Ron and Hermione sexual tension? Yes please! They love each other in the cutest, most innocent way possible. The Yule Ball was too cute and I love all the underlying looks and unspoken moments between them. Yeah, I'm a fangirl. Cedric is clearly hot and his competitors for the tournament are all interesting in their own ways. The cup as a portkey was completely unexpected and the battle with Voldemort was fantastic. The moment their wands touch and the dead people return to help and ultimately save Harry is genius.
