really liked it
bookshelves: the-brits, the-immigrant-experience, women-s-studies

I had a terrible crush on hot British-Indian scientist when I first read this book. It's the book that started us on a long and always lively conversation about labs in Las Cruces, the difference between being a red Indian vs. a red dot Indian, the relevance of Freud--you get the drift. Consequently, I don't know I liked this book so much because it reminded me of him or if it was really good. Nonetheless, I enjoyed this tremendously.t
