I enjoyed the story and the characters, I just wish the ending hadn't been so ... abrupt. I would rate this at 3 1/2 stars. Sorry if this is vague but I don't want to ruin it for anyone. I would have liked to know just a little more about the situation and how things were settled.

It was nice to read main characters who didn't fall into convenient stereotypical behaviors and the same with one of the antagonists (who was a bit of a surprise). Also, I really liked the descriptions of the area they are in - I could picture the places without it being too much information. I think people who read the Love Inspired line of books would like this one. Definitely a good summer read!
