A very interesting book; Laura Bush can write! I think she tended to be a little too defensive, trying to make excuses for George W.'s drinking, for example, or to justify what she accomplished as first lady, as well as trying to of course defend her husband's presidency. The book was a little dry; filled with itenerary and schedules, it read in part like a datebook or diary. The history and background information she included though was very helpful and informative. But, however history decides to rate his presidency, I think the fact remains that Laura Bush is a decent and honest person who truly loves her husband.
