When an IED explodes in A-stan, Navy SEALS Izzy Zanella and Dan Gillman end up medevaced to Germany. Jennilynn LeMay rushes to Danny's side. Gillman's father shows up to check on his son and lets slip that Izzy's wife Eden is in Las Vegas. Izzy finds Eden working as a stripper - to earn enough money to save her brother Ben from their evil step-father. Ben has befriended Neesha, who has escaped from a child-sex slave ring. They all have to work together to escape the bad guys.
Brockmann is a master at spinning out a half-dozen story lines, each with its own high level of anxiety, then braiding them together and tightening the tension until you can't put the book down, can't breathe, can't do anything but keep reading. While many of her heroines are extraordinarily beautiful and talented, I love that Jenni is plain and awkward - and grows more beautiful with every page. Excellent read!
