I feel like I've learned a thing or two, or at least I've been refreshed on the fundamentals of plotting. The author is a commercial writer, so his advice is probably more useful for plot-driven writing. I would've liked more focus on character-driven plots. Overall I give this one a 3.5.

37.0% "I'm not using this as a hardcore how-to guide for plotting, but it does provide some helpful tips. I see nothing wrong with viewing plots as basic structures. It doesn't adversely affect originality or creativity, imo."
