really liked it

What a piss poor film this one made. I had to check it out when I knew the film was coming, and upon reading it I realized how wide the gap was between the fluff that was the film, and the rather solid graphic novel this was.

Great style in both art and plot, that really evoked for me a time of Great Britains imperialism, where England really was the center of the world. The plot is ambitious, and what happens towards the end of this volume really took me both by surprise, and delighted me at the same time. A lot of subtle humor too that didn't make it to the film. Great stuff!

Annie Agree to everything! My Mum's even read the complete series - but won't watch the movie.
