Chris Not read Terminal World but Luke's review doesn't endear me to it's setting, story or the themes of this book.

Steampunk in the future? Different technology zones existing side by side? Requiring a full knowledge of the back-catalog of Mars books. Central characters that appear tangental to bigger story lines.

Think I might give this one a miss.

You don't HAVE to have read the Red Mars trilogy, you could just be a nerd and know about teraforming Mars from another source. My point is that the questions are never answered by the characters within the novel, but that doesn't matter as they are answered for knowledgeable readers.

T.L. Evans Must admit, not having read ANY fiction about Mars, I completely missed the clues and fail to enjoy the story. Your review, however, did totally make me rethink the novel.

It also opened my eyes to an entire microgenre (Mars Fiction) that is a gaping hole in my reading background.
