it was amazing

This book lived up to every expectation.
It felt realistic, and the writing was lovely, and I loved how it ended, and I'm sad about all the right things, and torn about how it turned out, and I'm ecstatic for the next.

I read through some of the negative reviews, and I just want to roll my eyes.
People want reality, and then they want fantasy, and all I want is for the characters to behave in the way that is true to themselves. And they did.

Every time.

Lindon's actions made him WAY more sympathetic than he could have been. Gabriel is just, sigh . . .
and Rhine?
I loved her quiet way of winning her husband over, and her quiet way of dealing with everything. She pulled out the BIG gestures only when they were really needed.

Well done.
