I am surprised by how much I liked this one because at the start of it I didn't care for Joe at all, he was such an ass! I get that Joe went through hell, but he was very selfish in his thinking and acting and had been for a long time. It stunned me that he was so clueless about how much Penny did for him. At the start Penny annoyed me too because she was such a door mat for her sister and Joe. I was glad to see that both of them changed along the way. I did like it that when Joe realized he wanted more with Penny, Penny was still trying to be casual to protect herself.

I found myself loving the secondary romance better than the main one. It was hard not to love Vinny and how he was determined from day 1 to have Lia, even when she did her best to blow him off. I loved how Vinny made Lia work for their relationship and didn't act in any way that she thought he should.

I look forward to reading more about these SEAL's.
