Julian Salvatore seems a shallow man on the outside, looking for the next thrill, never settling down, a bad boy to the core. But there is something underneath. Something that comes out as soon as he falls in love. Grace McKenna is an ice queen with a path set in her life and she has no time for anything else, not even love. They will come close while Julian unearths his demons, but will it last?

I got to say I didn't expect much out of Julian the way he was portrayed in the previous books. I know there was something more after a particular scene in Zach's book but not much. He surprised me, to the point I got a little mad at Grace for the way she treated him. Grace confused me a little and I wanted to shake her to make her see what she was doing.
