This book started off really strong, I was really liking Chase (as opposed to in the other books where he seemed so angry and volatile). And I really loved the twist with Tavia, I love a strong female character. But the 2nd half fell a bit flat and too serious for me, a little too unrealistic and not enough romance (ok so lots of sex but not enough emotional connection). I forgot why they loved each other.

I'm curious how the next 3 books will be. I heard it's 10 years from now so it's almost like a separate series since the ending of this book was so final. I do think Mira has a pretty wicked talent so I'm sure it'll be good, hopefully she'll be as bad-ass as her "mom" Renatta.
