Re-reading the series (after watching film #6)... it's just a pleasure to dig into these books again. (They're like old friends.)

The first book is still the weakest of the series - but when your series is as good as this, that makes for a very enjoyable read.

Stven What an unexpected opinion! Mine is that the first book is still the strongest of the series, followed closely by #2 and #3.

Jim I think they generally got better with each book. Book 5 is the one that really grabbed me the most.

Mark I'm mid-#5 right now... it's gotten better each time I've read it.
