I really liked this book, perhaps evident by the fact that I devoured it in a single evening. It was nice to finally see Fang and Aimee and what happened with them, and the only thing I felt kinda let down by was that we've seen a lot of it already, it just has a bit of a different perspective here. I really liked the bears, though. They're very interesting, character-wise, especially Maman and Dev. I didn't like her attitude towards Wren, but knowing the reason behind it and having a little more insight into her in general made her more tolerable. I was disappointed a little in Savitar's reaction, though. It felt like he was a little paranoid about his control...
While this book was definitely not disappointing in the way that One Silent Night was, I was still a little put off my how flat Aimee and esp. Fang seemed to be. It seems at times that Kenyon just keeps tossing new races/groups whatever into the fray so that we have a constant supply of characters to hook up, which can be annoying. At least this book was better than the previous one in that while there was some of the large arc going on, it didn't seem like an excuse for the book.
It occurs to me that I am almost at the end of this series, or what I have of it, which means I may need to start picking up some others until there are more published for me to read. But I have plenty, so that's not really a problem, is it?
