Rules of Civility takes place in 1938 Manhattan, just before the Depression ends. Our protagonist, 25 year old Kate Kontent (emphasis on the last syllable), works in a secretarial pool for a large Wall Street law firm. Kate is extremely smart and well-read. She’s also fluent in several languages. Of course since she’s a bookworm, this bookaholic felt an immediate affinity for her. To read the rest of my review, go to http://popcornreads.com/?p=1293
