I grabbed this book at the library on a whim, attracted by the unique title. I was surprised how much I ended up enjoying it! It's definitely not my usual fare... I'm more a horror junkie than a drama lover. However, I think this book resonated a lot with my intimate understanding of the operations of the wealthy in Texas (I served a year in a VERY high end kids clothing boutique, and wow I could tell you stories). You probably have to understand Southern culture at least a bit to enjoy this book. It's definitely a story with a point though! The build up during the first half gets a bit bogged down in "heartfelt conversations", but after the climax midway through it picks up steam. I found myself trying to stay up way past my bedtime to find out what happens in the end. Give it a shot, and you'll probably either love it or hate it. I loved it.

Recommended for: Disillusioned daughters of the South, people who usually hate Drama, and anyone that's had bad experiences with mean people at church
