it was amazing
bookshelves: bluebonnet-books-2011, professional-development, multicultural, tweens, young-adults

Genre: realistic fiction, novel, multicultural (special needs), professional development for teachers to empathize w/ their special needs students
Grade level: 5th-7th
Keywords: cerebral palsy, special needs, girl, talking, realistic, emotional, tear jerker
Notes: Story is told by a 5th grade girl with cerebral palsy. While she can't speak, she does have a lot to say. This book definitely brought on a variety of emotions; thus, I think it may be too heavy for some students. Would provoke a LOT of great discussion topics! Mild language (ex: sucks) appropriate for character.
