Read in July, 2011

A racial drama that reads like a play with all the stereotypes in place. Redneck Klansmen, overweight sheriff, huge black boy. Black man kills a white man which is generally cause for a lynching. But the book examines the changing times with increased black power, no matte how small and incremental, and white changes in attitide as well.

Written in chapters with every new character speaking in first person.
