Linda Fairstein's series is like an old, comfortable shoe for me, but even though I love her dearly, I have to say: I'm getting really tired of the NYC history lessons. With this book, she has now reached the point of having her characters engage in ridiculously lengthy history conversations when they should be concerned about, you know, crime scenes and rape and murder. I know that other people have commented similarly, so maybe she'll read some of those comments and edit accordingly while writing the next one...
