For a book written by two people, this is a pretty consistent book. Ella and Luke have different voices, but the writing goes together well. That bit of praise aside, the great concept doesn't make up for a very bland and usual book. I began to keep track of how many times people "cut" their eyes at eachother. Do people even say that? What's wrong with "Ella looked at him" or "Met his eyes". Three times in one paragraph is a bit much. Luke and Ella both suffer from generic likable character with sad secrets syndrome, and there were no twists or suprises. The middle name that is supposed to be a secret is glaringly obvious, and there was no part of the book that delighted me or made me laugh.

It's not a bad read, but I really expected more and was disappointed.
